A Divine Song

A lady I had just met at my Unity Church told me a story, it was the most beautiful story. She had noticed that I was going to have a baby (how could she not). She lightly patted my arm and with a warm smile she told me about a tribe in Africa. She said that whenever there is a pregnant woman in their tribe, all of the other women gather together and sit and listen for the growing baby's song. When they hear this song they begin to sing to the womb, as does the mother, children, family and friends. After the child is born they continue to sing. This song becomes a piece of them. It is unique and for especially for them. When the child misbehaves they take him/her to the center of the tribe and EVERYONE sings their song to them. This is to remind them who they are, and that they are loved.

I absolutely LOVED this story and it made me think. How smart are these beautiful people, to have known how to find the baby's song and sing to them from the womb. What a special gift, to have the people around you be so in love with you, that every time you do something that doesn't match up with your values, and in such a beautiful way, remind you of who you are and where you come from. A simple song that was created from a heart beat.

I think that all of us have a song within us. Although, we didn't have a beautiful tribe sing to us as we grew and remind us when we would make mistakes, but deep inside of us you'll find a melody that co-exists with our soul. This melody is our beauty, our love, our gift to the world. We need to sit, listen and hear this melody. There is nothing more important right now than our song.  We need our song to remind us of how strong and beautiful we are. We need to be reminded constantly of our gifts and that we are connected to something bigger than just this body. We are connected to a divine energy that flows through us and out into the world.  THE WORLD NEEDS OUR SONG. So sing my love birds.

Remembering Maya Angelou

This Woman who gave so much of her heart will be admired for generations to come. 
She spoke of Courage, Strength & of Love. She taught us about the important things in life.

Thank You Maya Angelou for being the woman that you were and for inspiring to many to follow in your foot steps! You will be FOREVER REMEMBERED in so many hearts!

Inspirational: Papaoutai by Stromae



While watching this video I became mesmerized. First of all I loved how their communication was through dance! That right there was pretty freaking awesome. And isn't that such a truth. Here we are as parents trying to raise our children how to dance in this crazy world. There are moves that need to be made, but you can't just tell your children how to do these moves. You must know how to live them, speak them, create them. Teaching someone a dance is done by example, it is a partnership, there must be communication and action.You must first learn to dance your very own dance and allow for the child to learn and then dance in their own beautiful way. They take what you have discovered and mastered and in return create masterpieces of themselves.

Isn't it too often that even though we are right there at home, we can allow for other things to distract our attention. This poor boy is doing whatever he can think of to help grasp the attention of his father but the father never moves. His body is present but tall he important things are missing. There is no communication, no examples, no dance moves and after a while the son begins to loose the beautiful and unique moves that already existed and then becomes lost in the trance.

I feel it is so important that we dance, we show our children that life is beautiful, challenging, ever-changing, but always in motion creating new and exquisite masterpieces. It is our responsibility to show our children what we are made of. Show them who we are and the beauty that fills each one of us. Our life is our dance, our expression, our art. How dare us get lost in the trance never taking a moment to enjoy the movement and flow that is ever so inspiring and majestic. How dare we allow for our children to become a victim to the mundane that life can become.

I love in the video that the boy goes out and he dances alone. He already had his moves all along. They were unique and his.  He had his own dance played out and then after he had tried all that he felt he could, his moves faded and his talents were gone hidden inside the trance.

We are filled with divine dance moves waiting to be expressed. Talents waiting to be witnessed. Let us not rob our children of such magic. Get out there and dance.

Memorial Day: peace will come

Honoring Memorial Day today. Although I do not believe in war, it is a part of our world and I want to honor those who have given their lives to serve this country. Sending my love to those who have lost loved ones as well.

Introduction: Just Be With Me


This space right here is a quiet space as well as very loud. I am passionate and with each new lesson this life hands me I am finding that my voice gets louder. I am standing in my confidence no longer feeling the fear. I am liberated, free from the voices that have kept me small. There's peace in my world please don't confuse this with perfection. I am raising strong women all the while raising myself. Being taught through the absence of ego, although the shadow shows herself often.  Again, I am liberated in the sense of awake, conscious of this universe and the reveal of her infinite space.

Don't label me, allow me to BE. Get to know me through my words and this journey. I expose greatness and I have so much to say. Moving past and beyond the years of insanity, I no longer am threatened by the voice of another and most importantly I am no longer threatened by the voice of my own. I have declared love as my religion and only allow this light. When darkness creeps I step down but stand tall and allow for MY lightness to shine.

Mistakes have been made and will continue to do so but that is where you'll find all of my growth. Trust in my friendship because it is true and it is of love. I know I am here importantly, and in this lifetime I know that I am to be a guide. To whom? I know not, but I know they are waiting patiently.

For the past year I've sat in silence, growing, deciding, confused, and dedicated. Patiently waiting myself, for the divine to tell me to produce. I've been known to pounce and skip steps that have taken me beyond what I can handle, in this I've been reminded that I must go back and to walk the path with smaller steps, baby steps please. Wait. Be. Stillness. A quiet mind was the lesson then and the lesson for my future. I am not alone, my divine friend is with me always. She reminds me of my beauty my greatness and allows me to hear her voice through messages secretly spoken from the Universe.

I dance with the Virgo Moon and I live by the Libra Sun. I am here, alive, and full of love. I am an Indigo, a gypsy goddess, a raven, soaring through a dark night. In search of balance but never quite finding it, but allowing the stars to light my path.

I am here to just Be. To live, inspire, and give. As the greatness becomes known within me, I emulate the greatness in you. I already love you. I'm here take my hand.
